Happy Holidays!

Happy Holidays Everyone!
So I am home for break.  It has been nice and relaxing, not having to work or worry about classes.  I finally got the chance to spend a day shooting on Cape Cod! I am really happy with the amount of work I got out of it with also enjoying the images I was able to capture.
Check out my website with all my new Cape images http://emilymansfield.com/cape.html.

Updated website!

Just updated my website, and am hopefully going to give it a make-over in the next couple of weeks!

A little update on what I am doing... I am in the middle of finals right now and had to update my website for my Business Practices of Photography class which has been quite interesting.  I have learned so much! Hopefully that will help me in the real world!

Logo Love!

So I have been doing more blogging and reading about today's Photography and Graphic Design industry.  Crazy world but I have seen a lot of great things that excite me!  I just found a blog about logo design and brand identity.  It is pretty cool, check it out:

It's probably a weird thing to say but I feel so much more educated by getting into these things.  I have seen a lot within the past week by just starting my blog and wanting to spread the news about others and what is going on in the world...

So for my first GRDS Studio 1  project we have to do a little logo research, good and bad logos and what makes them good or bad.  I came across the Microsoft Advertising Awards and was wowed by their logo and campaigning!
This is the before and after logo:

These are some of the campaigns:

I am so glad Microsoft decided to redesign, their new solution is so much better!
Here is the article I found: http://www.underconsideration.com/brandnew/archives/the_roaring_mouse.php

And so it begins...

So this is my first post! Very exciting.  I have been trying to start marketing myself as I am just beginning my senior year at Savannah College of Art and Design.
I finally got my website up and working not too long ago and you should go check it out:

Also a friend that just finished the Photography Graduate program at SCAD, Nate Abramowski, surprisingly had me and two other photographers in one of his most recent posts.  I am very grateful for that! He is a very talented photographer as well and you should check his blog out.

I have started to post a few blogs and links that are of interest to me and hopefully to other people!
I will add some new and exciting work that I have been doing soon!
